Pedroncelli Sangiovese 2005 - Alto Vineyards.

This is the first I've had of this variety. Wiki says a young sangiovese will have "fresh fruity flavours of strawberry and a little spiciness". I can taste the fruit and it's quite mild and refreshing. I will definitely have to try other vineyards in the future.

Pedroncelli Merlot 2005 - Bench Vineyard.

Hm. I've never had a real particular taste for merlot. Eh. I wasn't really impressed. I also left a glass at the bottle of the bottle. It did not keep well at all. That vacuum wine saver would be handy.

Helix Cabernet Sauvignon 2005.

This is decidedly smoother and much mellower than the merlot. This would be really good with some nice cheeses. From Reininger:

"...saunters out of the bottle and onto your palate with the supple style of Grace Kelly eating a strawberry tort. A whiff of vanilla and a sprinkle of oak spice make this wine more intriguing than an Alfred Hitchcock mystery."
I would buy this again.

Helix Merlot 2004.

This should've gone up a few weeks ago. I don't remember it at all.

From Reininger:

"...is one tongue-teasing and twisted wine. Spiraling about a core of dried plum, dark cherry, and raspberry, is a dust devil of sweet vanilla - and a guaranteed lovely and lively bottle of wine."
I remember it being a bit tart.
