Unibroue Ephemere.

I had a taste of this at a brewfest, and while it's not something I'd necessarily buy, it was on sale for a good price. Fruit-based beers are always a gamble with a high variance in payoff. Unibroue is pretty well-respected by myself and abroad, so I would expect nothing less from them. And this one nails it pretty well. I'm kind of curious about how it does after some cellaring. But I don't really have the motivation for that with this. Maybe if the price is still good.

Apple Quesadilla.

Fast snack. Standard quesadilla made in the pan, with sliced apples. I remember seeing apples and cheese suggested on the back of a Ritz (best fucking crackers) box, thinking it was weird, and then trying it as a late evening snack once. It was awesome.

Apple Coffee Cake.

Sourced from Elise. I get the impression that baked goods are more or less equal parts butter and sugar, an egg every half cup or cup of flour. 1.5ish units of flour relative to sugar. This used baking powder. I still don't get it.

This could have used less sugar on top.
